According to evidence shown in court, Shah Rukh Khan often sent emotional messages to Sameer Wankhede, the former zonal director of the Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau, in their claimed discussions from 2021. Shah Rukh begged Wankhede to be kind with his son Aryan Khan, who was detained in the drugs-on-cruise case two years ago, during their discussions.

Shah Rukh averred, “You know his part is minuscule in it. All he needs is reformation and for that he has had his quota and I will also follow suit with what we talked in terms of making him a better person.”

After the NCB failed to establish the validity of the charges against Aryan Khan, the man was taken into custody in October 2021 and held for about a month in a Mumbai jail until being released on bail.
The NCB handed the actor’s son an impeccable report of health in May of last year. No narcotics were allegedly discovered on him, and NCB chief SN Pradhan acknowledged “irregularities” in the initial investigation, according to the agency.
This week, Wankhede was charged with trying to extort 25 crore from Shah Rukh in order to keep his son out of the lawsuit. The officer from the anti-drugs agency requested that the Bombay High Court drop the accusations (which were brought by the Central Bureau of Investigation). Although the court declined, it did provide Wankhede protection from CBI coercion, such as arrest, until Monday.
