Many of us are aware of the fact that pathogens of various diseases can pass from one person to another through a kiss. Especially flu and SARS. Herpes
The herpes virus, which is often called the “cold on the lips”, is almost 100% likely to be transmitted to a partner during a kiss. But for some reason, many people treat this warning too lightly, thinking that it will recover after some time, but the fact is that once it gets into the human body, herpes remains there forever and manifests itself in the form of unpleasant wounds.
Mononucleosis
This disease is most often transmitted from one person to another through a kiss. In addition, the pathogen can enter the body if you simply drink from the same bottle or eat from the same dish, or smoke a cigarette together. The main symptoms of mononucleosis include high fever, severe sore throat, and swollen lymph nodes. Therefore, quite often it is confused with the flu and the common cold. If a person has ever had mononucleosis, he becomes a carrier of the virus for the rest of his life.
Stomatitis
The “bubbles” that periodically appear on the inside of the lip are nothing more than a lesion of the oral mucosa. This disease is not dangerous, but it can occur in both mild and severe forms. The latter leads to bleeding gums and bad breath.
Caries
Most of us have been familiar with caries since childhood. It is this disease that leads to tooth decay and subsequently forces us to visit the dentists. We have been told that eating too much sugar can lead to cavities. But theoretically, even a perfectly healthy person can pick up the bacteria which causes caries, through unwashed dishes or a kiss. We don’t want to scare you too much, but meningitis, polio, rubella, cytomegalovirus, mumps (mumps), and various gum diseases are also transmitted through a kiss. To minimize the risk of any pathogen entering the body, carefully monitor your health – visit the dentist regularly, check your stomach, and maintain personal hygiene.
