Netizens are slamming the most-watched comedy show” The Kapil Sharma show. And the reason is the latest film The Kashmir Files. Read to know the matter.
The award-winning filmmaker, Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial sensation ‘The Kashmir Files’ is very much in discussion these days. It is making waves all over the country. As the film showed visuals of Kashmiri Pandit citizens which made the people come out teary-eyed from the theatres.
The storyline is based on the Kashmiri Pandit community in the early 1990s and the killings by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists. The film star cast includes Darshan Kumar and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. Since the story of Kashmiri Pandits is blood-curdling and is worth watching. Just to lend support to the movie and encourage people to watch. It has been declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh. Also, the government announced not to change GST.
In spite of being so much in discussion. Kapil Sharma show refused to call the cast. Which made the filmmakers quite disappointed for not being invited. And he tweeted saying ” They refused to call us because we don’t have big commercial stars.

However, days after that on Saturday, the team of The Kashmir Files got the opportunity to interact with PM Modi and they also received appreciation for their recently-released film. After meeting the prime minister the director took to his Twitter handle and wrote “I am so glad for you @AbhishekOfficl you have shown the courage to produce the most challenging truth of Bharat. #TheKashmirFiles screenings in the USA proved the changing mood of the world in the leadership of @narendramodi.” Soon after the tweet went viral and the moment netizens compared it with his earlier tweet .hashtag ‘#BycottKapilSharmaShow’ once again started trending on Twitter. Netizens slammed the makers of the show. Since the film doesn’t have big commercial stars, they were not invited to the show for promotion.
