Clearly, top director Christopher Nolan has missed the cinema. Photos appeared on the internet showing that the man behind films like Dunkirk and Tenet is back in the cinema for a new film.
And the chosen films is also a tactical one. Nolan is not only going to a newly opened movie theater in Los Angeles, but also to a Warner Bros. movie. And it was Judas and the Black Messiah , one of the films that hit theaters in the States immediately on HBO Max.

Nolan is known to fight for cinemas worldwide and certainly in the States to reopen. He believes, like many other people from the film world, that it should be possible that people can enter the theater again under the correct safety regulations.
He is also not happy with the choice of Warner Bros., the studio with which he has made his most films, to put films on HBO Max in 2021. According to rumors, Nolan would therefore no longer want to work with the studio.
