On Saturday the prestigious ceremony of Dadasaheb Phalke Awards was held. And it was great to see all the stars from the film fraternity gathered together after a long time. Because due to the Covid pandemic there was no award function or any ceremony held. However, on Saturday everyone saw the Star-studded night, which was held to honor those artists, who made a great contribution to Indian cinema.
The actors who were on the list of best performances were Deepika Padukone for the film Chapaak. And Akshay Kumar for the film Laxmi. On the other hand Critic’s Best Actress award was won by Kaira Advani. And the best actress for the web series was Sushmita Sen. Talking about the film Chapaak, the film is based on an acid attack survivor, in which Deepika played the lead role. Whereas Laxmi was a film based on horror-comedy and showcased equal rights for the third gender.
