Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty again on Monday in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. During this time, statements were taken twice by Rhea’s father, brother, Siddharth Pithani, Shruti Modi and CA Ritesh Shah.
During the interrogation, ED officials kept many more evidence, including the bank accounts of Sushant, Rhea and Shouvik. ED is interrogating Rhea and her family by filing a report under the Money Laundering Act. The ED has already questioned them for about eight hours on Friday. A CBI inquiry is also going on against Rhea Chakraborty and her family. In this connection, ED has also filed a case of money laundering against her.
It is being told that the ED’s doubts on Rhea are being continuosly increased. The ED has caught several lapses in financial transactions between Rhea and Sushant. ED has also cross-checked his chartered accountant. Both Rhea and Shouwik were associated with Sushant in separate companies. During interrogation, it was revealed that Rhea bought a flat worth Rs 80 lakh in Khar area of Mumbai in 2018. For this, Rhea also took a loan, but paid 45% of the price herself.
The ED’s inquiry is believed to be focused on Rhea’s income and her deals, investments and business. The properties Rhea bought in Khar and Navi Mumbai in Mumbai are also being investigated. Rhea’s assets are much higher than her declared income of 14 lakhs. The ED is investigating the money laundering behind it.
