    PM Modi reaches Lepcha to celebrate Diwali with Security Forces

    Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating Diwali with security personnel in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi joins the personnel in uniform at a security post annually to commemorate the Festival of Lights. Today, the Prime Minister posted pictures from his visit to his X account.

    In the pictures, he is seen mingling with security guards while wearing military fatigues.

    Prime Minister Modi has celebrated Diwali with security forces stationed at the borders ever since taking office. He talks to the men in uniform on his visits. He was spotted last year applauding while guards performed at a musical event honoring his visit.

    On Diwali in 2014, the year the Bharatiya Janata Party took power, the prime minister went to the Siachen glacier. He was in Punjab at the border in 2015. The following year, he was in Himachal Pradesh, close to the Chinese border. In the Gurez area of Kashmir in 2017. For the 2018 Diwali, the Prime Minister was in Harsil, Uttarakhand. He was in Rajouri, close to the Line of Control, in Jammu and Kashmir the next year.

    The next year, the Prime Minister traveled to Nowshera in Jammu and Kashmir and Longewala in Jaisalmer for the 2020 Diwali celebrations. He attended Diwali at Kargil last year.
