Divya Khosla Kumar, wife of T-series owner Bhushan Kumar, has hit back at Sonu Nigam in defense of her husband. Sonu had made many allegations against Bhushan, calling him a music mafia. Divya has responded to Sonu Nigam by sharing a video on her Instagram.
In her statement, Divya said, ‘For a few days, Sonu Nigam has been running a campaign against the T-series and Bhushan Kumar. I want to say that till date T-series has given a break to thousands of artists, who are outsiders, not connected to the industry. I myself gave a chance to 10 newcomers in my film Yaariyan, out of which Rakulpreet, Neha Kakkar and Himanshu Kohli have grown up.‘
Asking Sonu Nigam that how many people he gave chance to she said, “Sonu Ji, it’s very easy to speak behind the camera on social media, but how much talent you carried further from the ground level. Today you are blaming us that we do not give chances to people, while 97% of the outsiders working in T-series are not Star Kids. We always give a chance to new people.”
In the video, Divya also introduces her home cook Shera and asks him about Sonu Nigam too. Which states that Gulshan Ji brought him from Delhi to Mumbai. He said Sonu Ji had scooty and used to sit in the office for hours seeking work. Sahab gave him a lot of work, given him many films and albums and whatever he is today is because of Gulshan Ji.
Getting threats of being killed and raped
Divya said, “After your video surfaced on social media, my husband has been receiving being killed threats and I am receiving rape threats. Why should I bear all this? Your campaign is still going on, you are still gathering singers and provoking against T-series.”
