The team of Narcotics Control Bureau has once again made arrests in the drugs case related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. In fact, a TV actress has been caught red handed during the NCB raid. Two more drug peddlers have also been arrested.
According to sources close to the NCB, cocaine, LSD, MDMA and hashish have been recovered from the arrested television actress and in the raids on the homes and premises of the arrested drug peddlers. The NCB has already taken action against several drug peddlers.
In view of the slow investigation of the Mumbai Police in the Sushant case, when this case was handed over to the CBI, then the drugs case also came to the fore in this case, in which the NCB team is still engaged in the investigation. Rhea Chakraborty, the girlfriend of late actor Sushant, also had to spend about a month in jail in the same drugs case.
On the other hand, the CBI investigating the Sushant case had told the Bombay High Court on Friday that it had not leaked any information related to the case to the media. Hearing the public interest litigation regarding the media trial in the case, the court remarked that the media has become polarized and it is not a matter of controlling it, but of balancing its work.
Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, appearing for the CBI, said that no information was leaked by the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which were investigating the actor’s suicide cases in June. He said that all the three agencies had filed affidavits in the court, stating that they had not leaked any information related to the investigation.
