It’s not been a month and we read and heard about the barbaric news of brutal rape and murder of 2.5 years old Twinkle Sharma in Uttar Pradesh. Now, after a spate of horrific rapes and murders over the last few days, another one has been reported from the chief minister Yogi Adityanath-ruled state.
A 13 years old boy was allegedly raped by four men of his village in the Puwaya area in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur. According to the reports, the four accused forcibly took the 13-year-old boy to an orchard and allegedly raped him. The boy subsequently narrated the horrific incident to his family members. They then filed a complaint against the four accused, identified as Rehman, Ravi, Gulli and Wasim. The police doing its investigation, the four accused eloped after the complaint was filed against them.
In another case reported from the state, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and then raped and murdered allegedly by a 48-year-old man. The police have arrested the accused.
Over the last few days, reports of sexual crimes against children are rising in Uttar Pradesh. It’s time for the government to get up and take strict actions against the people with a criminal mindset so that our children will feel safe outside the home.
