    Collateral (2004)

Tom Cruise turns in one of his most captivating performances as Vincent, the L.A. cab driver’s passenger on a very important night. Jamie Foxx. In this taut, brilliantly filmed thriller from the masterful craftsman Michael Mann, it comes out that Vincent is a hitman and he needs Foxx’s character to motivate him to embark on a killing spree.

Call Me by Your Name (2017)

In one of the best films of the decade, Timothée Chalamet plays a young man who comes to terms with his sexuality after being courted by an older character played by Armie Hammer. This delicate and emotional drama is extraordinary because it feels so real.

If Beale Street Could Talk (2018)

It can be difficult for any director to follow up on a Best Picture victory, but Barry Jenkins succeeded with this poetic and emotional adaptation of James Baldwin’s 1974 novel of the same name. In the drama about a young couple who lose everything after he is falsely accused of a crime, KiKi Layne, Stephan James, Brian Tyree Henry, Colman Domingo, and Oscar-winning Regina King star.

The Power of the Dog (2021)

One of the most beloved films in the streaming giant’s history is the one for which Jane Campion ultimately received an Oscar for directing. This version of the same-named Thomas Savage novel, directed by Campion, tells the tale of a vengeful landowner (Benedict Cumberbatch) who afflicts the new wife of his brother (Jesse Plemons), Kirsten Dunst.

    Pride & Prejudice (2005)

This 2005 adaptation of one of Jane Austen’s most well-known books, the movie that made Keira Knightley famous, continues to rank as one of the best Austen adaptations ever. This adaptation, which was directed by Joe Wright, stays fairly close to the original, but it’s so beautifully shot that it’s simple to lose yourself in it again and again.

The Squid and the Whale (2005)

The 2005 drama by Noah Baumbach examines how divorce affects a typical family and makes the argument that a child’s problems will only be exacerbated by their parents’ flaws. In a movie that feels both specifically revealing yet universal in its concerns, Jeff Daniels, Laura Linney, and Jesse Eisenberg all deliver terrific performances.

    Titanic (1997)

This Best Picture winner was more than simply a hit movie; it was a genuine cultural phenomenon that dominated the box office for months. People have seen this movie multiple times thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s outstanding performances as Jack and Rose, respectively.

    Dunkirk (2017)

The 1940 evacuation of British forces from northern France by the filmmaker of The Dark Knight became one of his country’s most influential war narratives. Dunkirk is a technological wonder, telling the simultaneous story of evacuations by land, sea, and air.

    Hanna (2011)

The film’s eponymous character, played by Saoirse Ronan, was raised by an ex-CIA father, played by Eric Bana. She has learned all the skills she needs from him to live both in the woods and in the event that someone tries to find them. Joe Wright’s film explodes in spectacular action as Cate Blanchett does just that.

    Heat (1995)

A magnificent chase between a career criminal and a workaholic officer is featured in one of the best films of the 1990s, which stars Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. Heat 2’s book release in 2022 rekindled interest in this movie, which has endured amazingly well in the over three decades since its predecessor was first produced.

    The Raid 2 (2014)

The wild sequel to his breakout blockbuster, which Gareth Edwards wrote, edited, and directed, cranks up everything he did with The Raid to 11! Arguably the best action films of the last ten years, The Raid 2 is a thrilling experience from start to finish.

    Road House (1989)

Patrick Swayze portrays the bouncer at an unremarkable Missouri bar who eventually finds himself drawn into a violent world after meeting the wrong bad person. A film starring Sam Elliott and Kelly Lynch feels like the ideal distillation of Mr. Swayze’s numerous attractions.

    Rocky (1976)

A movie that actually rocked the world in 1976, becoming the highest grossing movie of the year along the route to winning Best Picture and making Sylvester Stallone a household celebrity, is where the Rocky Balboa tale began. Fast forward nearly five decades to watch this.

    RRR (2022)

This insane action movie, one of the largest in the world in 2022. It’s difficult to express how much cinema you receive with RRR in words. It’s sort of like every movie — musical, romantic, comedic, violent, and dramatic. You can find anything you’re looking for right here. It’s something you should see twice.

    Star Trek (2009)

In order to depict the origin narrative of how James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) joined the Starship Enterprise crew, J.J. Abrams took the helm of one of the most important franchises of all time and started from the very beginning. Although some of Abrams’ experiments with franchise histories have generated controversy, this summer blockbuster is nevertheless immensely strong and thoroughly enjoyable.

    Starship Troopers (1997)

It appears to be an incredibly enjoyable action film about youthful warriors attempting to thwart an unfathomable force. If you delve farther, you’ll uncover incredibly rewarding parody levels about fascism and even the military industrial complex.

    Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)

In this action classic that reverses roles and changed cinema history, James Cameron built upon the concepts of his sci-fi success from 1984. Sarah Connor, the lady who understands that her kid holds the key to the future, is back in the role of Linda Hamilton.

    The Woman King (2022)

In this account of the all-female soldiers of the Dahomey kingdom in the 19th century, living legend Viola Davis plays the lead role. Sheila Atim, Thuso Mbedu, and Lashana Lynch are among the future rock star ensemble she commands, playing General Nansica, who educates young ladies to follow in her footsteps.

    Bridesmaids (2011)

The box office success of Bridesmaids exceeded all projections, making Melissa McCarthy a household name. It tells the narrative of a woman (Kristen Wiig) who struggles with her duties as Rose Byrne’s friend’s maid of honour.

    Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

One of the most well-liked comedies of the time made its star, the title character, a household name. The premise is so elegantly straightforward: the popular student in high school takes the day off, gets into trouble in Chicago, and drives his sister and principle crazy.
