In a surprising piece of news a 20 years old girl named Kota Vaishnavi killed by her father. Her crime was she fell in love. Yes, You read it right! She fell in love with an SC community boy at Kottapalem in Thallur Mandal of Prakasam district.
The victim, Kota Vaishnavi, was a second-year student of BCom at Harshini College in Ongole and was reportedly in a relationship with one Suneel, from the same college. It created a ruckus in her family when her parents found out that she is in a relationship with a boy who belongs to SC community.
According to Thallur sub-inspector B. Ranganath, her parents raised a hue and cry and warned her but she was stubborn. Vaishnavi even left home on January 31 and went to Tirupati to join the SV University College Hostel to live independently. Not only this but she also skipped her examinations because of her trip to Tirupati, but her boyfriend stayed back and attended the exam.
However, on the same day she was brought back to home by her parents. Vaishnavi was so wilful that she refused to end her relationship and here started the trouble. Her father Venka Reddy lost his cool and killed her in the heat of the moment. He escaped from the scene after the incident. Thallur police have registered a case against him and doing further investigations.
