In a piece of shocking news, a 32 years old model Pooja Singh Dey was murdered by an Ola cab driver. She was a model-cum-event manager from Kolkata who had gone Bengaluru for an event management program at a star hotel in Parappana Agrahara.
Pooja booked an Ola cab from the airport to the hotel and had instructed to pick her up on next day from the hotel and drop at the airport. But that turned out to be ill-fated for her. Later, after two days police found a female dead body with stab injuries on the chest, abdomen, throat and cuts on the palms.It
was lying in a field, near the KIAL back gate. The murderer tried to destroy all the evidences only the dress, footwear and wrist watch was left. As there was a number on her watch,cops were successful to know atleast the name of the buyer which was Pooja Singh Dey.
When they did further investigation, the police found a match at New Town police station in Kolkata. The first lead in the search for the murder suspect came in the form of a piece of information that she had taken an Ola Cab from the airport. The cab driver was later identified as HN Nagesh and was arrested by the police.
Why he did so?
Nagesh was facing financial crises and was recently began driving and and had missed a couple of EMIs of his car. So he decided to rob Pooja on the way to airport. With the plan of looting her Nagesh eventually murdered her. Nagesh dumped her body and vanished from the site taking her handbag and mobile phone. But all he found in handbag was Rs 500 and some ATM cards.
