Tamannaah Bhatia will play an investigative officer in the Hotstar Specials series Aakhri Sach. She portrays the chief investigator in a complicated case involving the discovery of all 11 members of a Delhi family hanging in their home. On Friday, Disney+ Hotstar released the trailer for the thriller series.
Tamannaah has dreams in her sleep in the trailer for Aakhri Sach, which culminate in the disturbing image of a multitude of bodies hanging from the ceiling. She awakens sweating and afraid. She portrays an investigative officer, and the case she’s working on is known as the one that “shook the nation.”
The case concerns the deaths of 11 family members ranging in age from 9 to 71, spanning three generations. They are referred to be a “regular family, just like us.” Initially, the case is thought of being a mass hanging, but Tamannaah’s character points out indications that imply otherwise.
The remainder of the trailer depicts Tamannaah and her team delving deeper into the research, but she concedes that a few things is still wrong. The trailer concludes, “Family matters should stay within the family.”
Aakhri Sach, produced by Nirvikar Films, directed by Robbie Grewal, and written by Saurav Dey, will debut on Disney+ Hotstar on August 25. It also features Abhishek Banerjee in a prominent role.
