Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been married for 16 years as of now and have frequently appreciated the work of each other with time. Aishwarya who recently had featured in Mani Ratnam’s directorial Ponniyin Selvan 2 had garnered praise from around. Similarly, Abhishek too complimented her.
Abhishek Bachchan, during the IIFA 2023 event was asked in an interview by Bollywood Bubble about how he complemented his wife on PS2, he responded, “Well, I told her it was her best work till date as an actor and unbelievable feat to accomplish with a role like that, very layered, very difficult and to ace it as the pro that she did it was fantastic. I’m so proud of her.”
Previously, post the release of the film, the actor took to Twitter to laud the work of his wife and the team. “#PS2 is simply FANTASTIC!!! At a loss for words right now. So overwhelmed. Well done to the entire team #ManiRatnam @chiyaan @trishtrashers @actor_jayamravi @Karthi_Offl and the rest of the cast and crew. And so, so proud of the Mrs. Her best by far #AishwaryaRaiBachchan”.
To this a Twitter user wrote, “As you should! Now let her sign more movies and you take care of Aaradhya.” replying to this tweet, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Let her sign??? Sir, she certainly doesn’t need my permission to do anything. Especially something she loves.”
The Mani Ratnam Magnum Opus features Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi in the main roles. The sequel was released on April 18, 2023.
