A biopic on revolutionary Dr Chempakaraman Pillai is in the progress and a few major Bollywood names are being related with this project. After buzz suggested that R Madhavan might step into the lead job, new names have now emerged.
Producers Anjum Rizvi, Raghavendra N and Riju Bajaj are working closely on this project which will portray the real-life experiences of revolutionary Dr Chempakaraman Pillai, who is likewise credited for coining the term ‘Jai Hindi’. For this iconic role, the makers are toying with the idea of roping in either Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor or Arjun Kapoor to portray the role of Dr Pillai, reports News18. Rajesh Touchriver will reportedly helm this project.
Presently, Ranbir Kapoor has a busy schedule with his forthcoming movie ‘Brahmastra’ coming up for release. This sci-fi drama is directed by Ayan Mukerji and the actor will be seen portraying the lead along with wife Alia Bhatt. Ranbir will likewise be seen in Luv Ranjan’s next, while he likewise has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ in the pipeline. Shahid Kapoor will soon mark his OTT debut with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK helmed web series while Arjun Kapoor has ‘The Lady Killer’ and ‘Kuttey’ in the pipeline.
