Delhi court postponed the date of the execution of the four convicts. Advocate Indira Jaising requested mercy from Nirbhaya’s mother with Twitter on Friday.
Jaising took the help of twitter to forgive the men on the death line who were sentenced for the 2012 gang rape of Asha’s daughter. Recently, the Delhi court postponed the date of the hanging of the four criminals.
“While I fully identify with the pain of Asha Devi I urge her to follow the example of Sonia Gandhi who forgave Nalini and said she did not want the death penalty for her. So we are with you but against the death penalty,” Indira tweeted.
In the answer, Asha Devi said: Who is Indira to give me such a suggestion? The whole country wants the convicts to be executed. But just because of people like her, justice is not served to rape victims”.
Also, the names of the victims are Vinay, Akshay, Pawan, and Mukesh, who are slated to be executed on February 1 at 6 am.
