Aespa’s Winter was almost attacked by an anonymous man, watch

The annual SBS Gayo Daejon music festival took place this year on Monday, December 25, at Inspire Arena in Incheon, Seoul. Key from SHINee, Ahn Yu-jin from IVE, and Yeonjun from TOMORROW X TOGETHER served as the event’s MCs. The event also had a stellar roster of performers, including Winter from the well-known girl group Aespa.

At SBS Gayo Daejeon, an unidentified man almost attacked the K-pop idol. The man with the camera suddenly raced towards Winter as she was heading down the red carpet, attempting to attack the singer. But the singer was saved from harm’s path by the bodyguards, who moved quickly to assault and intervene just in time to tackle the attacker.

The man continued to struggle and made an attempt to approach Winter, who was taken aback by the event, as the security personnel led him outside. The bizarre man’s actions shocked followers after the incident was captured on camera and posted to X, the previous Twitter platform.

A video clip of the incident, shared by an X user, has garnered over 1.2 million views on the platform so far. In the clip, Winter can be seen looking shocked and confused by what just happened. A fan appreciated the guard and said, “The guard who blocked it well is amazing.”

A fan added, “SM should pay attention to the issue…when winter did the ig live days ago, saesang called her and even posted the video on Instagram.” Another wrote, “If someone didn’t step in quick enough then this incident could’ve escalated endangering Winter’s safety. Please strengthen security for the future as Winter’s safety has been threatened before and take necessary action against the individual.”
