It’s a bad time for Hardik Pandya and all thanks to him only. He suffering a bad time because of his filthy comments she made about women on Koffee With Karan 6 episode. He reached at the show with his teammate KL Rahul and flaunted about his multiple affairs with Bollywood actresses and models and how he was so opened about his relationships with his parents. He made some sexist and misogyny comments about women.
After his comments, he received a backlash from the social media users for his disrespectful comments. BCCI too took it seriously and suspended both the cricketers from the current Australian ODI series and sent them back to home. After losing a great amount of respect, the cricketer is now losing out on brand endorsements too. The recent development is that Khar Gymkhana has cancelled the Honorary membership that it gave to Pandya in October 2018.
To let you know, just a few days ago after his suspension by BCCI, reportedly Hardik Pandya has lost out on a brand endorsement (Gillette) citing the controversy. Khar Gymkhana joint secretary Gaurav Kapadia told leading daily, Times Of India.
“We gave him the honorary membership, which we give to sportspersons of national level, because he was doing some rehab in our neighbourhood. In the wake of this controversy — we’ve a social media handle where we have around 4,000 members on Facebook — there was a huge outcry and a lot of members, especially a lot of women members, were upset and felt that the club should take some step. So, we had a managing committee meeting today (Monday) evening, in which we unanimously decided that we’re revoking his honorary membership.”
Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul appeared on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan 6, the teaser of the episode received social media flak following Hardik’s some derogatory statements about women. However, both the cricketers later apologized for their actions.
