Actress Aishwarya Rai just made her start at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. The festival veteran is at the event with her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. She made a statement in a unique Valentino shimmering green kaftan ensemble for her maiden outing. Even while her clothing is eye-catching, it’s her big heels that really stand out.
Aishwarya may be spotted posing with a journalist Anupama Chopra at the festival in fresh pictures from the event. For the unique red carpet outing, she chose the spectacular Valentino ensemble with cape sleeves. Her trademark matte makeup, black lips, and poker-straight hair with a strong middle parting helped her further elevate the image. To stand out she chose a clear PVC styled stilettos.
Someone wrote, “So sweet.” Another fan identified her as the “Queen.”
On Wednesday, Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan arrived at the film festival. In Cannes, they were welcomed with open arms. The mother-and-daughter team was welcomed with a flower bouquet in an online video posted by a fan organisation. They were travelling to Cannes when they were photographed by paparazzi at the Mumbai airport.
In addition to Aishwarya, other celebrities who have attended the festival include Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chhillar, Mrunal Thakur, and Urvashi Rautela. Paparazzi were captured on camera wrongly referring to Urvashi as Aishwarya Rai on the red carpet. This year, Anushka Sharma, an actor, also plans to mark her Cannes debut.
Last seen in Ponniyin Selvan 2, Aishwarya. It was the second chapter of the same-titled 1955 Tamil novel by author Kalki Krishnamurthy that was adapted for the big screen by director Mani Ratnam. Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, and Aishwarya Lekshmi are also featured in the movie. At the international box office, the movie has already surpassed Rs. 300 crore.
