The terrific trio starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal is coming back with Hera Pheri 3, to recreate that same old magic.
Akshay Kumar appeared in Hera Pheri which released in the year 2000, which was undoubtedly one of the most popular franchises in Bollywood comedy films. Alongside Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal were also seen sharing the screen in this film. Six years later, a sequel to Hera Pheri titled Phir Hera Pheri released in 2006 and was a runaway success. Now the makers of the film are putting efforts to reunite all three stars again and kick start its third part. At first, there were reports doing rounds that the third part will have Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the lead. But it didn’t happen so. Later rumors of Kartik Aaryan portraying a lead in the film were there but it again turned to be false. But recently Akshay Kumar has given a confirmation on the film. He said that they are working to get it started but he didn’t reveal the actual thing.
The project was locked in last month after the three actors gave their dates for the film. Confirming the news, director Indra Kumar took to his Twitter and said, “This is going to be a fun project with a stellar star cast @akshaykumar @SunielVShetty @SirPareshRawal. Sources also suggest, “The actors will play characters closer to their age, which has been facilitated in the script. According to information gathered the story will take off from where Phir Hera Pheri ended but fast-forwards into the present. The trio is desperate again, but in a completely different scenario.” With this film, the Hera Pheri trio will reunite after 19 years. The basic idea of the film was written by the late actor-filmmaker Neeraj, who also directed the second installment, and Priyadarshan will work with his team to develop it into a screenplay.
