Akshay Kumar has posted the teaser for a surprise new film, Cuttputlli. The movie will be a direct-to-OTT release and will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from September 2.
The teaser is a collection of Akshay’s still from the film, a crime thrill ride about the hunt for a serial killer. Akshay portrays a policeman who is on a mission with his men to catch the criminal and adopts a different strategy to achieve it.

The movie’s trailer will be dropped on Saturday. Posting the teaser, Akshay penned on Twitter, “Yeh khel power ka nahi, mind ka hai. Aur is mind game mein aap aur main…sab #Cuttputlli hain. Dropping on @DisneyPlusHS, 2nd September. Trailer out tomorrow.” The movie is produced by Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment and is only the latest movie to star Akshay as a police. He has before portrayed a cop in Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Sooryavanshi among others. Rakul Preet Singh may likewise be a part of the film, going by the tags used in Akshay’s tweet.
Akshay will be soon seen in ‘Ram Setu’ along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha, which is set to drop on the occasion of Diwali 2022.
He will likewise be seen inverse Radhika Madan in the Hindi remake of Suriya’s Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru. Aside from Akshay and Radhika, Paresh Rawal will reprise his role from the Tamil original. Director Sudha Kongara is likewise getting back to direct this movie. The filming started in April. No release date has been reported up to this point.
