Finally, Alia Bhatt addressed her reference in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan trailer. When Shah Rukh’s main character in the trailer exclaims, “I want,” the actor returned the compliment.
On Thursday evening, Alia posted the Jawan trailer, which had just been released, on her Instagram Stories. In the caption, she added: “Aur poori duniya ko chahiye sirf SRK!!!!! @IAMSRK What a fabulous fabulous trailer.. 7th September is tooooo far away… (sun emojis).”
The Jawan trailer opens with Shah Rukh’s title character holding a metro compartment hostage and talking on the phone with Nayanthara’s police character. After she asks, “Tumhe chahiye kya?,” Shah Rukh responds, “Chahiye toh Alia Bhatt.”
In the 2016 slice-of-life movie Dear Zindagi, directed by Gauri Shinde and co-produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Alia and Shah Rukh co-starred.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who had previously referred to it as the “trailer of the century,” actor Varun Dhawan, director Vignesh Shivan, choreographer Farah Khan, actor Arjun Kapoor, CEO of Dharma Productions Apoorva Mehta, actors Kriti Sanon, Huma Qureshi, Angad Bedi, and Anushka Sharma were among those who responded to the Jawan trailer on their respective Instagram Stories.
In the Atlee-directed and Red Chillies Entertainment-produced movie Jawan, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra, there are a number of other notable actors. On September 7, it will debut in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu theatres.
