Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt started their career with Karan Johar directorial Student Of The Year (2012). The duo were again paired together for 2014’s Kapoor & Sons which garnered love and appreciation from the audience.
There have been rounds of speculations surfacing on the public forum about them being in a relationship, however the duo never opened about it. Later on, the alleged affair lasted for a shorter span as both have decided to part their ways.
Sidharth who is now tied up in promotions of his upcoming feature Thank God, lauded Alia during an interview. Terming her as a ‘fabulous performer’, the actor also commended Alia’s methods for preparing during shoot.
“Alia is a fabulous performer, and where she makes you believe that it is all coming in very easily but she does her homework. I think her ease, her prep work [is incredible],” Sidharth was noted saying in an interview to Bollywood Hungama.
Recently Alia too opened up about her ties with the former, in an interview with DNA. She quoted, “I have a lot of love and respect for Sid. We started off together in the industry. I have known him for a long time and there’s too much history between us. Honestly, there will never be issues. I have nothing but just positivity in my heart for him. I am sure he wishes the same as well. He spoke about meeting and chatting and we were fine.”
As of now, Alia got hitched with Ranbir Kapoor and is all set to welcome their first child. While speculations have been made that Sidharth will soon tie the knot with co-actor Kiara Advani. The pair of Kiara and Sidharth in Shershaah received immense love and the audience is waiting to see more of the chemistry between the two.
