Nikhil Nanda, the Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Kubota, has been accused in a serious legal case involving allegations of fraud and abetment to suicide.

    Amitabh Bachchan's Son-in-Law, Nikhil Nanda

The news about the Chairman and Managing Director position at Escorts Kubota is currently held by Nikhil Nanda who now stands accused of fraud along with abetting a suicide. The Dataganj Police under Badaun district Uttar Pradesh department registered the case after court instructions. Apart from Nikhil Nanda multiple company leaders stand accused in this situation.

    What Led to the Case?

The matter surfaced when Jitendra Singh died tragically while operating as a tractor dealership owner. Jitendra faced intense pressure from the Escorts Kubota executives because they set improbable sales objectives. Executives at the company faced Jitendra Singh with threats about revoking his dealership license and restricting his access to the property through an upcoming auction if he did not meet their performance demands according to Gyanendra Singh his brother.

On November 21, 2024, Jitendra received orders to boost tractor sales although he struggled with his sales objectives. Jitendra disconnected from life through what seemed to be a self-inflicted loss of life the following day. According to his family members, the company officials applied extreme pressure which led Jitendra to commit suicide. Initially, the local police did not take any action, but after the matter was taken to court, a case was finally registered.

Who Has Been Named in the Case?

Jitendra’s brother, Gyanendra, has filed a complaint listing several individuals from Escorts Kubota, including Nikhil Nanda (Chairman and Managing Director), Ashish Baliyan (Area Manager), Sumit Raghav (Sales Manager), Dinesh Pant (Uttar Pradesh Head), Pankaj Bhaskar( Financier Collection Officer), Amit Pant (Sales Manager), Neeraj Mehra (Sales Head), Shishant Gupta (Shahjahanpur Dealer). The complaint mentions that these officials created unbearable stress for Jitendra, which ultimately led to his death.

    Family demands Justice

Jitendra Singh’s father, Shiv Singh, is devastated by his son’s death. He has blamed Escort Kubota for pushing Jitendra to such an extreme step. In an emotional statement to the media, he said that he was unaware of Nikhil Nanda’s connections, including that he is married to Shweta Bachchan, the daughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. But the devastated Shiv Singh told ETV Bharat, “I don’t know who he is. We just want justice,”

This incident has no wonder raised serious concerns about the business practices at Escorts Kubota, particularly regarding the pressure exerted on dealership owners. It has ultimately raised questions and put Nikhil Nanda’s leadership under scrutiny, as people question whether company policies contributed to this tragic loss of life.

    What’s Next?

With the case now officially registered, there will now be investigations determining up to what extent Nikhil Nanda and the other accused executives are responsible. The victim’s family is demanding strict action and justice for Jitendra Singh. Judge Niranjan Shyam Gupta’s ruling about this case will determine future consequences because it might produce amendments to corporate standards regarding how dealers are treated. At present the mourning family waits for justice as they hope that the legal system will do its duty by taking action against those responsible for Jitendra’s death.
