Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer ‘Dream Girl’ was one of the most cherished movies. It had a great run at the box office as well. After a good response, the makers reportedly announced that they may be coming up with the 2nd part. It was also reported that the movie will go on floors later this year. But there was no update on the leading actress.
As per an entertainment portal, Ananya Panday, who is presently busy promoting ‘Liger’, is finalized to portray the lead actress opposite Ayushmann. A source close to the development told the portal that the makers are in talks with Ananya.
Prior, there have been rumors that Tejasswi Prakash, who won Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss 15’, was good to go to make her Bollywood debut along with Ayushmann in ‘Dream Girl 2’. Later, it was also reported that Sara Ali Khan has been approached for the role. But now it seems like, the makers have zeroed down on Ananya for the sequel.
In the meantime, Ananya will be seen in the pan-India film, ‘Liger’ with Vijay Deverakonda. The duo is presently busy promoting the movie in the city. Aside from this, she likewise has ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav. On the other hand, Ayushmann has ‘Doctor G’ and ‘An Action Hero’ in the pipeline.
