    Here are the Details:

The Koutoubia Mosque Tower, an oil painting by Winston Churchill, was auctioned for a record $ 11.5 million. In 2011 it was bought at an antique dealer in New Orleans by Brad Pitt, who paid $ 2.95 million for it to give it to his then-wife, Angelina Jolie. Five years after their separation, she decided to sell it through Christie’s auction house without imagining that she could receive almost 9 million more for the work. One of the characteristics that make the piece unique is that Churchill, an amateur painter, drew this oil painting during World War II to give it to the American president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, in 1943. The new owner is only known to be of Belgian origin and during the bid acquired two other works by the British politician for all, it paid 15.6 million dollars.
