Anil Sharma has responded to Ameesha Patel’s recent accusations of financial mismanagement and non-payment of bills against him and his production company. In an interview, Sharma dismissed the charges as unfounded and thanked Ameesha for popularising his production company.
During an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Anil was asked about the claims made the actor, “I have no clue why she said all of this. All I would like to say is that this is all false, none of it is true. At the same time, I would like to thank Ameesha Patel. She made my production house famous. What can be bigger than this? I thank her for making our new production house famous.”
Ameesha Patel said in a string of tweets on June 30 that Anil Sharma Productions had failed to pay technicians, make-up artists, and costume designers involved in the movie the correct amount of money. She also brought up outstanding expenses for lodging, transportation, and meals while highlighting Zed Studios’ assistance in paying the debt and resolving the problems brought on by Anil Sharma’s production company.
She penned down, “There were certain queries that many technicians like make up artists,costume designers n others etc did not receive their rightful remuneration and dues from ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS!!Yes they did not !! But @ZeeStudios_ stepped in and made sure all dues were settled as they are a v professional company!.” The actor further stated, “Yes from accommodation, to transport to Chandigarh airport on the final day to food bills were left unpaid and cars were not provided to certain cast and crew members leaving them stranded ! But yet again @zeestudios stepped in and corrected these issues caused by ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS!!!”
Gadar 2 is being directed by Anil Sharma, who previously helmed the original Gadar: Ek Prem Katha from 2001. In the film, Tara Singh is portrayed by Sunny Deol in a cameo, and his wife Sakeena is portrayed by Ameesha Patel. On August 11, Gadar 2 is expected to be seen in theatres.
