An investigation has been opened against an American actor Armie Hammer for rape. Los Angeles police said Thursday, March 18, after a complaint filed by a young woman with whom he was having an affair. And now after cannibalistic texts, bondage, the chilling testimonies of several ex-girlfriends … an additional step is taken in the Hammer case.
Effie, who asked to be identified only by the first name, age 24, detailed her accusations. Thursday morning at a virtual press conference hosted by her lawyer named Gloria Allred. The young woman claims in particular to have been “brutally raped” for more than four hours in 2017. She adds that Armie Hammer, whom she had met on Facebook the previous year, during this assault, hit her several times and put his head against a wall, and hit his feet with a riding crop. Effie said she was abused “mentally, emotionally and sexually” during her intermittent, four-year relationship with the actor. Los Angeles police said they opened an investigation into Armie Hammer following a complaint filed last month by a woman, but did not confirm whether it was the so-called Effie.
The 34-year-old actor denied these accusations via his lawyer, Andrew Brettler, assuring that he had only sex. Mr. Bettler further claims that an SMS sent by Effie to his client in July 2020, which he said contained requests of an explicitly sexual nature, contradicted the young woman’s allegations. The lawyer had already recently denied similar accusations of violent and sadistic sexual acts brought against Armie Hammer by other women.
Armie Hammer has also left several projects, including a film alongside Jennifer Lopez, Shotgun Wedding. However, he also distinguished himself in the cinema in The Social Network and especially Call Me By Your Name.
