Britney Spears has yet again deactivated her Instagram account but this time it is interestingly aligning with her first wedding anniversary with husband Sam Asghar. Adding this, it will mark the eighth time when her social media account has been deleted within a year.
However, she’s still active on Twitter. Asghari on the hindsight has celebrated the day by posting lovable messages for Britney whom he referred as his “better half” and “the woman of my dreams.”

The fact that Britney had previously shut her Instagram account multiple times raises concerns about her control over her social media. Britney Spears’ Instagram account was abruptly removed in December 2022, confusing her admirers. She had posted several heartfelt words about her family members before deactivating her account. She did, however, clarify in January that she had made the choice because of the criticism she had received for her dance videos and had felt the need to step away from the platform. She stated that she didn’t want to interact with them at the moment when she rejected to join Sam Asghari on an Instagram Live session in the middle of November. She had reinstated her account within a few days despite having previously had it deactivated.
In October 2022, Britney Spears posted a chain of posts during her 15 years of conservatorship, encompassing a mention of her father, Jamie Spears, and alleged him of calling her “fat” and demeaning her.
In August before the release of “Hold Me Closer”, the singer again deactivated her Instagram account. She tweeted her feelings, “I’m learning every day is a clean slate to try and be a better person and do what makes me happy… Yes, I choose happiness today (sic)”.
