The first images of BTS rapper J-Hope in uniform appeared online a few days after he reported for his required military service. Following Jin’s enlistment, he is the second member of BTS to sign up for the 18 months of military service. According to rumours, J-Hope alias Hobi is assigned to the 36th Infantry Division’s Baekho New Corps.
J-Hope has a buzz cut in the first photo and is smiling while dining with other trainees. He smiles broadly and flashes the thumbs-up sign. The next thing was a group picture with Hobi and other uniformed people all making heart signs.
Reacting to the pictures, a fan tweeted, āOmg (Oh my God) he’s looking good!ā Another one wrote, āI wonder if we’ll be able to see jhope and jin together at any moment.” A comment read, āI’m happy to see this but I’ll wait for hobi’s update on Instagram.ā
On April 18, J-Hope enrolled in the military. He was seen reconnecting with all of the BTS members in an official video posted on BangtanTV before leaving for his duties. All of the other membersāRM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkookāincluding Jin, who currently works in the military, came and joined them.
Six HYBE vans were reportedly seen entering the gated area, according to the report. One automobile at a time, all five of them walked in simultaneously. It asserts that J-Hope may have received special treatment. BTS’ agency responded to all rumours by promising to provide a formal statement following an investigation of the details. “We are currently in the midst of checking [the truth of the report].ā An official statement is still awaited.
According to their respective timelines, other BTS members will also be joining the army in the meantime. In 2025, they’ll all be coming back together.
