China’s official channel CCTV has reported that a Boeing 737 plane crashed in a rural area near the city of Wuzhou in the Guangxi region. A huge plume of fire was seen as soon as the plane crashed. Chinese media channel said that rescue teams have been sent to the spot.

“A Boeing 737 passenger plane carrying 133 people from China Easton Airlines crashed in Wuzhou, Teng County in Guangxi and caused a fire in the mountains,” the Guangxi Emergency Management Department said in a statement. Rescue teams have been sent here and they are being contacted. There is no information about the number of casualties. Claims of finding large pieces of aircraft

The Aviation Safety Network tweeted, “We are seeing multiple reports about a possible crash of China’s Eastern Airlines Flight MU5735 Boeing 737-89P (B-1791) en route from Kunming to Guangzhou.”

Aircraft fell from a height of thousands of feet
Flight data shows the plane crashed into the ground from thousands of feet in a matter of minutes, giving the crew little time to do anything anyway. Flight tracking (0622 GMT) ended at 2:22 pm at an altitude of 3225 ft with a speed of 376 knots. It was supposed to land after an hour.
