Christopher Nolan to no more direct superhero films, here’s why

As per Christopher Nolan, he won’t be directing any more superhero films. The Dark Knight trilogy’s director, who also produced Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises, has stated that he has no interest in making more comic book movies.

Variety stated that when asked if he will do another superhero movie during a talk with YouTuber HugoDecrypte, Nolan simply said, “no.” The Oppenheimer director added that he has no interest in creating a TV programme. Nolan avoided giving a firm response when asked about filming a Star Wars movie.

In ‘Oppenheimer,’ Christopher Nolan offers a nerve chilling superhit theatrical experience. Actor Christian Bale who has played the role of Batman in Nolan’s trilogy has clearly stated that he would only appear for a reprised role only when Nolan helms it. In conversation with Screen Rant, he said “I had pact with Chris Nolan,” Bale had said. “Let’s make three films, if we are lucky enough to get to do that. And then let’s walk away. Let’s not linger too long.”

Warner Bros. holds the rights to the DC character, so another Batman movie would require Nolan to return there. Before leaving Warner Bros. after the contentious release of Tenet during the epidemic and its decision to release its 2021 films in theatres and on HBO Max on the same day, Nolan worked there for more than ten years. On July 21, Nolan will release Oppenheimer, a film based on the life of American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his contribution to the development of the atomic bomb.
