Recently Kapil Sharma joined the Anti-Drugs Campaign held in Chandigarh. Kapil remembered his old days when his addiction to alcohol had almost ruined everything. He became emotional and shared his story with the people at the event that what made him overcome his alcohol addiction.
To let you know, last year after getting mired in all the controversies he had with Sunil Grover and other Bollywood actors with whom Kapil misbehaved, he went into depression. His career suffered and he started taking drugs.
Kapil said, “When used to drink, my mother used to bother about me. She was broken completely after seeing me in such a condition. After seeing my mother crying for me, I decided that I will overcome my drugs and alcohol addiction. I worked hardest.” He further added, “I quit it forever and don’t want to go back in the worst past. Alcohol addiction is bad and we all should try to get over it.”
It was his mother who became his inspiration. He went into an Ashram in Bengaluru in September 2018 and with the help of meditation and Yoga he tried to get back into his normal life. He maintained his health with Ashram’s detoxification program. He stayed away from alcohol and also lost 15 kg of weight. After recovering, he again started shooting her show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ after a year. The show kickstarted on December 16, 2018.
