Dia Mirza is a Famous Actress and Environmentalist and has become a victim of social media trolls. The actress broke down at the latest edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival while speaking about climate change.
A video of her is making rounds as she was seen weeping profusely. While addressing climate change to the audience she said, “Don’t hold back from being an empath. Don’t be afraid of shedding your tears. Feel it. Feel the full extent of everything. It’s good. It gives us strength. It does. And this is not a performance.” A moment came when she was offered a paper napkin but she refused.
Literature Festival was held on January 27 where Diya had a panel discussion on climate change. However, Dia’s words did not go down well with the audience. They trolled her badly by comparing her to teen environmental activist Greta Thunberg. Moreover, a tweeter commented. “If you are planning to be future environmentalist, use a lot of water, don’t pay the bill, so that after few years you can cry on TV saying you don’t use paper,” a user said.
Later Dia was asked about the reason to break down. After which she said that the news of basketball legend Kobe Bryant’s death had left her disturbed.
