Ekta Kapoor showed up at the trailer launch of her latest production venture ‘Dobaaraa’, featuring Taapsee Pannu ahead of the pack. Since Taapsee is occupied with the shoot of ‘Dunki’ with Shah Rukh Khan, Ekta accompanied director Anurag Kashyap for the launch.
Before, Kangana Ranaut has alluded to Taapsee as her ‘sasti copy’ and producer Ekta was asked about the similarities between Taapsee and Kangana Ranaut, since she has worked with them both. Responding to the same, Ekta said, “There is only one similarity, both are amazing trailblazer women and to play them against each other is not your and my job. We are women, we adjust each other’s crown, not remove it.” Further when asked about collaborating with the actresses, Ekta had added, “It’s an amazing thing to collaborate with such amazing actors. If there’s an interesting project, I will only approach the actor and request them to read the script. So, it is a heartening thing to work with great actors. They bring in a lot more, Kangana is a brilliant actor and so is Taapsee.”
‘Dobaaraa’ trailer shows Taapsee attempting to solve a time travel mystery. The movie likewise features Rahul Bhat and Pavail Gulati in pivotal roles and is set to hit the screens on August 19.
