When these two teams last faced off in September 2021 for the fourth Test match, India battled back from a 99-run deficit to win easily by a huge 151 runs. The last Test was postponed due to Covid-19 with India leading the series 2-1. The Indian team was dominating England and appeared to be in a position to win the Test series in English conditions.

The home side Englishmen are following a pattern of announcements to which they claim their playing XI a day before the game commences.

This gives advantage to the team players to be prepared with the playing XI on board.

Ben Stokes will be leading after whitewashing the Kiwis with dominance. Alex Lees, Zak Crawley to open, along with the powerful middle order consisting of Joe Root, Ollie Pope, and Jonny Bairstow. Sam Billings to keep behind the wickets, along with James and Broad’s sensational duo, who will be leading the bowling unit with Jack Leach and Mathew Potts.
