No matter how hard we try but somethings are not meant for us! There are many examples of actors who became flop in Bollywood industry but they got successful when they joined some other field. For example Hrithik Roshan’s father Rakesh Roshan was a supporting actor but he mastered behind-the-camera skills and gave back to back hits like Karan Arjun, Kaho na Pyar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya etc under his direction. However, there are some stars who got flop not only in the films but in other careers too. Check them out:
Ameesha Patel
She started her film career with blockbusters like Kaho Na Pyar Hai and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. But after a slew of flop films, she decided to launch her own production company in 2013 named Desi Magic. However, the company produced only one film, Bhaiyya Ji Superhit in these long years and that too was a flop.
Lara Dutta
The former Miss Universe debuted with film Andaaz opposite Akshay Kumar. Despite appearing in several films, her acting never really took off neither was she a part of many successful films. After her marriage with Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi, she started a production house named Big Daddy Production and produced Chalo Dilli. Despite good reviews, the film did not too well at the box-office. She also launched a line of Sarees by Chhabra 555. This also remained unsuccessful.
Preeti Jhangiani
Even after debuting with super hit film Mohabbatein, Preeti failed to make a mark. In 2009, Preeti along with her husband actor Parvin Dabas started her own production company named Very Fishy Films. The film produced only one film which was a flop and stumbled upon.
Kim Sharma
Another actress from superhit film Mohabbatein, Kim Sharma after giving a few flop films, tied the knot with Kenya based businessman Ali Punjani and tried to dabble into business. But the actress faced a setback in the hotel business and shut it down. Ali also divorced her. Presently she is running a bridal makeover salon.
