Rapper Badshah has been probed again by the Mumbai crime branch. On 7th August he was questioned about the fake fan following matter.
Badshah is an Indian rapper whose songs are immensely popular and attract millions of views on YouTube. But it would be strange for you to know that this number is only in hundreds. While ago it was told that his song ‘Paagal’ reportedly got a whopping 75 million views in a day. However, Google has denied this claim and now the Mumbai crime branch will investigate this.
He came into the clutches of the Mumbai crime branch after a case of fake follower scam came into light. This issue arose after Bollywood singer Bhumi Trivedi found a fake profile of hers on social media. While the crime branch is still investigating the case. Badshah has been summoned to come to the crime branch for further questioning related to the case on 7th August. Earlier crime branch interrogated Badshah for this scam and along with him, the other 20 people have also been questioned so far. This list includes high profile people and celebrities. As per the reports, the crime branch has prepared a set of 238 questions to asked from Badshah. But there are some high profile builders who were alleged to be guilty of buying followers and will be later questioned on this.
But as of now, he is the first Bollywood celebrity to be summoned by the crime branch in relation to the fake followers’ scam. The matter exposed after the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) busted of a racket where fake views and fake followers. On the other hand, where the police is investigating fake followers scam, they are also very much keen to know that on what rate influencers increases and how are the rates fixed.
