Famous South Indian actor who turned politician, JK Rithesh recently put people in shock. He died at age 46 while he was doing an election campaign. Rithesh was last seen in film LKG. He was a member of AIADMK (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam).

On Saturday, while doing an election campaign at Ramnathpuram, he got a massive cardiac arrest. He was then immediately taken to the hospital, where he took his last breath. Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#BREAKING: Actor and Ex-Lok Sabha MP #JKRitheesh who was recently seen in the movie #LKG is no more…He died of a heart attack sometime back in #Ramanathapuram. May his soul RIP!”

I will miss you sir. You treated me like your own brother. Not got even a rupee to act in LKG. So much love, care and warmth. You were a great human being. God is so cruel to take you away from your beautiful family with three children. Feel terrible. pic.twitter.com/r4B4T8wdVQ

Rithesh debuted in South Indian cinema in 2007. He worked in many South Indian films. He was born in Kandy (Sri Lanka) before migrating to Rameswaram in 1976. He is survived by his wife and a son.

After his death, his party and his fans are in shock. He had started off his political career by joining Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party but in 2014, he quit in order to join AIADMK.

I am A 24×7 energetic and cheerful soul. Hailing from Amritsar, I believe in sticking to the roots no matter where one lands up. I get the creative DNA of writing, dancing, and fine arts from the empowered women of my family. I listened to my heart so I opted for humanities over other streams. Now, pursuing Masters in mass communications, I intend to use my words to voice for what is right. I believe ‘laughter and dance’ are the secret ingredients in the recipe of my life. Thankful to God for having the best ever family, best ever partner and best ever friends, I wish to work each day to make them proud.
