Hina Khan shot to fame with Akshara of TV serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. After then she took part in Khataron Ke Khiladi and then in Bigg Boss and came out as one of the controversial contestants of the show. Nowadays she is getting attention for her role in Ekta Kapoor’s much-hyped reboot of ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ as new Komolika.
However, she is on a break from the ‘Star Plus’ show. Recently during a live chat with her fans, Hina revealed the reason behind her absence from the show. She said that she is busy with the preparations of her new project. However, she didn’t revealed anything else about the project. But according to the reports, Hina’s next project is none another than a Bollywood film. Yes, you read that right! Hina Khan is now set to make her Bollywood debut very soon.
After establishing herself as a style icon in ‘Bigg Boss 11’, Hina will now mark her entry in Bollywood with a female-oriented film. Speaking about the same, a source told a leading daily that,
“Hina will soon begin shooting for a film, in which she will play a responsible and independent girl. The story is set in Kashmir in the 90s. Veteran actress Farida Jalal will play her grandmother.”
Hina told TOI that,
“It’s a female-centric story. I also love the fact that it’s set in a time and place, where we are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, technology, daily rush and competition. I am also thrilled about challenging myself in a brand new medium.”
