India celebrated a unique milestone with the birth of its first “Generation Beta” baby, Frankie Remruatdika Zadeng, on January 1, 2025, at precisely 12:03 am. Frankie was born at Synod Hospital in Durtlang, which is the capital city of Mizoram state, Aizawl. Not only did he come during the New Year but also brought in a new generation.
What is Generation Beta?
The term Generation Beta was first defined by the Australian futurist Mark McCrindle with the kids or children born between 2025 and 2039. This generation is the successor of Generation Alpha this generation comprises people born between the years 2010 to 2024. Generation Beta will grow in a world that will be more connected, digitized, technological, artificially intelligent, and progressive as compared to that of Generation Alpha.
A Healthy and Happy Start
Frankie came to the world with joy to his parents Ramzirmawii and Remruatsanga of Khatla East, Aizawl. After a complication-free birth and measuring 3.12 kgs, Frankie was born healthy. The mother is also reported to be in good health and so is the baby. According to a phone interview made with Sister Lalchhuanawmi from Lawmna Ward Synod Hospital. Ramzirmawii said she was happy and it was a blessing for her to be able to deliver the first Beta baby into the country.
