Sara Ali Khan opened up about her childhood fascination and her thoughts about her parents. Here’s what the actress said.

Sara Ali Khan has proved herself as one of the most talented and prominent personality on screen in this generation. Being born in the family with famous parents – Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara inherited the love for movies and acting from her childhood. Nevertheless, due to her childhood experiences, she sometimes got the funny misunderstandings of the actual lifestyle of their parents regarding the movies they performed.

Sara remained at home with her older siblings and was introduced to the films that her parents use to work on. This exposure led her to an amusing belief. She once thought that her mother Amrita Singh owns the adult movie site and her father Saif Ali Khan use foul language. But why would a child even have that thought in the first place? The answer can be found in the characters her parents used to act on movie scenes.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, Sara described these ideas, and how watching two films when she was a child formed these opinions. She said, “Now looking back, I recall watching Omkara and Kalyug especially and came out really distressed”. I used to tell myself “My parents are such negative people”

    Here’s what happened

Saif played the role of Langda Tyagi in the movie Omkara (2006) in which he did a superb act and got famous for using abusive language. This act is still regarded as one of his best performances ever in his carrier. Though, for a young Sara, seeing her father in such a role actually made her believe that this is how her parents are in real life.

On the other hand, Amrita Singh, being her mother performed a negative role in Kalyug, which is a movie based on immoral things like pornography. To little Sara, this made her think that her mom was involved in a porn business!

Further complicating this equation was the fact both Saif and Amrita were nominated in the same year for the ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’. Sara said, laughingly, “I said, ‘Hey, what is this?” “My mom owns a porn website ‘I hate it’ and my dad too because he use foul language “However Sara eventually comes to terms with the fact that these were only the onscreen characters. As of today, she shares a lot of laughter at these memories.

Sara became an actress with the movie Kedarnath (2018) opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and even though her acting too was appreciated, she was also mostly noted for her positive outlook and energy on screen. She done Simmba in the year 2018 and has been trying out different character. Not all of her films were blockbusters, but her aptness to take risks has worked in Sara’s favor.

Coming to her professional front, Sara will be seen in the upcoming film Sky Force alongside Akshay Kumar, set to release on January 24.
