    G20 summit: Here’s when world leaders will land in India

    India is leading a group of G20 leaders meeting in New Delhi to discuss urgent global issues amid a polarising geopolitical environment brought on by the crisis in Ukraine. India has gone above and above, enhancing security and event logistics with drones, murals, and gigantic cutouts of langurs. Tomorrow would see the arrival of the world leaders. Look at who would be arriving at what time:

    Narendra Modi with US President Joe Biden
    • According to a report from ANI, US President Joe Biden will arrive at 6.55 p.m. (tentative timing) and be escorted by Minister of State VK Singh.
    • MOS Ashwini Choubey will welcome British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at 1:40 p.m.
    • At 2:30 p.m., MOS Darshan Jardosh will welcome Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh.
    • MoS Choubey will welcome Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida when he arrives at 2.15 p.m.
    • Giorgia Meloni, the Italian prime minister, will be welcomed by MOS Shobha Karadlaje at 6:20 am, according to sources close to ANI.
    • At 7.45 p.m., MOS Gen (retired) VK Singh will welcome China’s Premier Li Qiang, and at 8 p.m., HH Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, will be welcomed by Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai.
    • At 6:15 p.m., Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will arrive, and Union Minister of State Rajeev Chandrasekhar will welcome him.
    • On September 9, the presidents of Germany and France will arrive. MOS Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma will escort German Chancellor Olaf Scholz when he arrives at 8 a.m.
    • Anupriya Patel, MOS, will welcome Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, when he arrives at 12:35 pm.

    Participating nations in the G20 Summit include South Africa, Nigeria, Argentina, Italy, and the AU (represented by Comros). Bangladesh, Japan, and the United Kingdom Saudi Arabia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Egypt, Australia, Canada, China, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Indonesia, and Turkey Spain, Germany, France, Singapore, Mauritius, and the European Union.
