The process of making a passport has become very easy nowadays. You can get a passport in just 7 days by giving 4 documents. In this process, police verification is done after issuing a passport. This prevents the time spent in the police verification prior to the passport.
If you want a passport within 7 days, you should have Aadhaar card, Voter ID, PAN card and an affidavit for not having a Criminal record. If you have these documents you can get a passport in a week. For this, you have to choose an emergency option. The normal procedure of making a passport requires 1500 rupees but in this, you will have to give Rs 2000 extra. 1) Visit the official website of Passport Seva Kendra www.passportindia.gov.in.
2) If you are a new user, first create your account here. In this, you have to put all the necessary information required.
3) Now upload the scanned copy of all the documents. You will then get an online payment option. After paying the amount, you can take an appointment at your nearest passport service center.
4) Take out the printout of the Appointment Receipt. You have to take this with you at the passport service center. Verification of your documents will be done here. After this, you will get a passport in a week.
