The theorists believed that in the coming future many of the places in the world will disappear and it will all because of global warming. Some even predicted through the theories that the country Mauritius will be the first country to get disappear in the future. Relating to that, today we will tell you about a place in India which will soon disappear. Ghoramara Island situated in the Eastern part of India is gradually disappearing due to rising sea levels.

The island is only about 1.8 square miles in size half of what it was 20 years ago. Many of its residents have already left it but some of the last residents say they can’t afford to move away or resettle. The Sundarbans in West Bengal is the world’s largest mangrove forest and is a home to endangered tigers, dolphins, and 300 species of birds along with thousands of people living on islands. They are in danger due to rising sea levels caused by climate change.

India’s Ghoramara Island is currently disappearing. Once home to 40,000 people, Ghoramara’s population has decreased to roughly 4,000 today. It’s now only 1.8 square miles in size – half the area it had 20 years ago.

I am A 24×7 energetic and cheerful soul. Hailing from Amritsar, I believe in sticking to the roots no matter where one lands up. I get the creative DNA of writing, dancing, and fine arts from the empowered women of my family. I listened to my heart so I opted for humanities over other streams. Now, pursuing Masters in mass communications, I intend to use my words to voice for what is right. I believe ‘laughter and dance’ are the secret ingredients in the recipe of my life. Thankful to God for having the best ever family, best ever partner and best ever friends, I wish to work each day to make them proud.
