In accordance with a truce agreement, Hamas has freed 80 Israeli women, children, and teenagers over the course of the last week in exchange for Palestinians detained in Israeli jails. There have already been 105 prisoners released by the Palestinian militants, who also freed 25 more who were not included by the truce agreement. These individuals were primarily Thai farm laborers.

Out of the first group of about 240 hostages, 110 have made it back home alive (33 children, 49 women, and 28 adults), with five having previously been liberated before to the agreement.

On Friday, the Israeli authorities announced that 137 individuals remained in custody: 126 Israelis, 8 Thais, 1 Nepali, 1 Tanzanian, and a French-Mexican, whose family has identified him as 32-year-old Orion Hernandez-Radoux.

According to Hamas, the 32-year-old mother of the youngest captive, 10-month-old Kfir Bibas, and his 4-year-old sibling, Ariel, perished in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza.

The bodies of two hostages—19-year-old soldier Noa Marciano and 65-year-old Beeri kibbutz resident Yehudit Weiss—were verified by the Israeli government on Friday.

    17 women

There are no known remaining child hostages in Gaza, other from the Bibas boys. Aisha al-Zayadna, a Bedouin girl, 17, and her 18-year-old brother were released on Thursday, the final day of the truce. She was the last minor to be released.

In detention in Gaza are no fewer than seventeen women, among them Shiri Bibas; Ofra Keidar and Judith Weinstein Haggai, both seventy years old, are the oldest.

Among the ladies is 26-year-old Noa Argamani, who was captured on camera yelling, “Don’t kill me!” as she was driven off a motorbike from the Tribe of Nova desert dance. Not long later, Argamani showed up in a video from Gaza, sipping from a bottle of water while lounging on a couch.

    Men above 80

Ten males between the ages of 18 and 22 are among the minimum of ninety-one persons who remain in custody following the October 7 incident. David Cunio, whose wife Sharon and twin girls, Emma and Yuli, ages three, were released on Monday; Tal Shoham, whose wife Adina, son Naveh, age eight, and daughter Yahel, age three, were released on Saturday.

The 12-year-old French-Israeli youngster Eitan Yahalomi’s father is still being detained. On Monday, the boy was released into the arms of his mother.

In their seventies and eighties, a few of the guys are. Two elderly women, Yocheved Lifshitz and Nurit Kuper, and their husbands, 83-year-old Oded Lifshitz and 85-year-old Amiram Kuper, were freed by Hamas more than a month ago.

    French-Israeli Mia Shem

There are still at least 33 persons being kept captive from the Hamas massacre at the Tribe of Nova festival. During the truce, only five were freed, including French-Israeli Mia Shem, who is 21 years old. Of the rest, at least 28 are from the Nir Oz kibbutz, which is close to the Gaza border and where at least 71 of its 400 or so members were kidnapped.
