He worked as a maker in absolute film classics like “Kevin – Alone in New York” or “Dead Poets Society” His most famous work is probably “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”.However, sad news has come out about Duncan: He passed away after a long, serious illness!
According to The Wrap, the successful film producer died in California – Duncan lost the long-standing battle with pancreatic cancer and was 72 years old. In an official statement, the president of his production company, Directors Guild of America, confirmed his passing and released a statement that read “The Directors Guild of America mourns the passing of National Board member and UPM Duncan Henderson. A DGA member for over 40 years, Duncan’s level of passion, service, and commitment was beyond exemplary,”
About Duncan Henderson
Duncan had worked in Hollywood for over 40 years. He graduated from the DGA-Producer Assistant Directors Training Program in 1980. And also elected to National Board in 2005. Most recently, in 2019, he produced the Disney film “Maleficent: Powers of Darkness” with Angelina Jolie (47). The official letter from his workplace paid tribute to him for his work, it read “His passion, service, and dedication was beyond exemplary.”
