Following Suchana Seth’s arrest on suspicion of killing her four-year-old kid, PR Venkat Raman, the estranged spouse of AI firm CEO Suchana Seth, made a statement to the police. Raman’s attorney stated that his client was numb with grief. He informed the police that only Suchana could explain why she committed the murder because he had no idea what could have preceded it. The CEO of an AI business, 39, has insisted that she discovered her kid dead when she woke up but has not acknowledged killing him. “He can die for his son but will now have to live without him. My client has no claim for justice for himself or the child, who is no more,” the lawyer mentioned in conversation with the reporters, as quoted by PTI.
“The trigger for the offence is just a guess. Maybe she did not want the child to meet his father or have an emotional connect,” the lawyer added.
Suchana Seth and Venkat Raman’s lawyer said that at first, the court permitted Venkat Raman’s client to speak to the child via phone or video call. However, Suchana later tore the note into pieces. Suchana was involved in a bitter custody battle with her son, which the investigators believe to be a major contributing factor to the crime.
“Raman was supposed to meet his son on January 7 in Bengaluru. He went to the house at 10am and waited till 11am. He sent a message to Suchana but got no reply,” the lawyer averred.
