We know Sony is looking at ways to bring PlayStation games to theaters. One of those films would be co-developed by Guerilla Games, the Dutch developer behind the successful Horizon Zero Dawn game.

At least that reports the site Giant Freakin Robot. According to that website, Sony is looking at the possibilities of making a film around the heroine Aloy, who lives in a rather bizarre future.

    Horizon Zero Dawn
The story takes place in the 31st century. Humanity is living in tribes again and has limited access to technology. The world is inhabited by large robotic creatures, machines, that dominate the Earth.

To a large extent, humans and machines live together in peace, but a phenomenon called the ‘Derangement’ makes the machines more aggressive towards humanity. The young girl Aloy has a device that connects her to machines and eventually makes her go on a quest to solve the problems with the machines.

Sony is also known to look at more game films than just Uncharted and the series The Last of Us . Given the enormous success ofHorizon Zero Dawn , this rumor doesn’t even sound that unlikely.
